With the guidance of a professional bilingual guide, you’ll traverse the suspended pathways of the Mistico Hanging Bridges Park. Located on a mountain opposite the volcano and Arenal Lake, this park offers breathtaking panoramic views. As you cross the first of six big bridges, you become immersed in the normally hard-to-observe world of the tree canopy, witnessing the diverse flora and fauna that call this ecosystem home. Your guide will aim a telescope for maximum observation of each sighting.
Next, we visit the lava fields at the foot of Arenal Volcano, following a trail through the lava to the best viewpoint. Standing among the big black rocks, you’ll enjoy a 360-degree view of La Fortuna’s stunning surroundings: Arenal Lake, the rainforest, the encircling lava fields, and the volcano itself in all its enormity. Your guide will share details about the volcano’s intriguing history.
After the hike, we sit down for a nice lunch at the Rainforest Café, with plenty of menu options and a natural, healthy fruit drink included.
To finish the day, immerse yourself in the hot waters of the Relax Termalitas Springs. Located at the foot of the volcano, this small resort offers several pools with different water temperatures — enjoy a complimentary drink while sharing experiences with fellow travelers.
Around 5 PM, we start the drop-off, closing out the best and most complete day possible in beautiful La Fortuna.
