Mistico Hanging Bridges
With the guidance of a professional bilingual guide, you’ll traverse the suspended pathways of the Mistico Hanging Bridges Park. Located on a mountain opposite the volcano and Arenal Lake, this park offers breathtaking panoramic views. As you cross the first of 6 big bridges, you get an immersive experience with the normally hard-to-observe world of the tree canopy, witnessing the diverse flora and fauna that call this ecosystem home. Your guide will aim a telescope for maximum observation of each sighting.
Arenal lava fields
Next, we visit the lava fields at the foot of Arenal Volcano, following a trail to the best viewpoint. Standing among the big black rocks, you’ll enjoy a 360° view of La Fortuna’s stunning surroundings: Arenal Lake, the rainforest, the encircling lava fields, and the volcano itself in all its enormity. Your guide will share details about the volcano’s intriguing history.
Lunch & La Fortuna Waterfall
After a nutritious lunch at the Rainforest Café, we head to the spectacular La Fortuna Waterfall. Taking 500 steps down a jungle staircase, you’re rewarded with the sight of a huge mass of water crashing into a jungle-adorned pool — relax in its refreshing spray, or take a swim to feel the impressive force of the water.
Termalitas hot springs
To finish the day, immerse yourself in the hot waters of the Termalitas Springs. Located at the foot of the volcano, this small resort offers several pools with different water temperatures — enjoy a complimentary drink while sharing the day’s experiences with fellow travelers.
